Plaza "Pesja" Omišalj, Beach located in Primorsko-goranska county

The Pesja beach is a pebbly urban beach with a small concrete plateau, located at the end of a 3-km long Omisalj bay on the island of Krk, beneath a wooded area. It is approximately 1 km away from the center of Omisalj and the closest hotels. There are also several catering establishments close to the beach. The beach is also equipped with sanitary facilities, changing cabins, recycable waste facilities, life-saving and first aid equipment and phones. Life-guards are present from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day during the season. Access to the beach and the sea is also adapted for the disabled. The beach participates in local and regional actions on environmental education in cooperation with Eco-schools and tourism board, such as cleaning actions and information about protected species. The beach will display environmental information on several boards, including the one in the camp and on the beach itself. Date of flag hoisting: June 5 (unless a criterion has not been met)
