Plaza "Slatina" Opatija, Beach located in Primorsko-goranska county
The beach Slatina is the main beach in Opatija, situated in the centre of the town. The beach is mostly made of concrete ad is situated below the main road promenade. The beach has one sanitary facility for disabled people. Lifesaving equipment is placed in lifeguard towers. Lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The town of Opatija is settled beneath the Nature Park "Ucka" and information about park and conduct of the behaviour in the park are available on the information board. Access to the beach is possible from the main road through five entrance. 4 out of 5 environmental education activites will be held on the beach and the rest will be held in Eco-School Primary school "Rikard Katalinc-Jeretov".
