Plaza A/C Kovacine, Beach located in Primorsko-goranska county

Kovacine is a resort beach located in an auto-

camp, located 2 km from the center of the city, on

the island of Cres. The beach can be approached

by lungomare and is 360 m long. The beach is

covered with stones, cement and pebbles. The

beach, as well as the island offers plenty of rich

Mediterranean vegetation. The beach is well

connected with the city center by a small tourist

train which promotes sustainable development.

The auto-camp and the beach have many facilities,

including sanitary facilities, showers, catering

facilities, life-saving and first-aid equipment and life-

guards. Life-guards are present from 9 a.m. to 6

p.m.

The beach has information board with all relevant

information; regular environmetal education

actions in cooperation with the local tourism

board and local Eco-schools (cleaning,

planting trees, seminars, etc)
