Plaza "Donja luka", Beach located in Splitsko-dalmatinska county
Beach “Donja luka” is one of the main beaches in city of Makarska. Beach is covered in pebbles and can be accessed through walkway around coast. Accesses to the beach are secured with ramps for disabled people. The beach has lifeguards, life-saving equipment, first-aid, facilities for disabled people, renting facilities, sport facilities, catering facilities, showers, changing rooms and facilities for receiving recyclable waste materials. Lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The beach is located in the vicinity of the Biokovo Mountain Park of Nature. There are no sensitive areas nearby. Beach has three information boards with all relevant information. It distributes leaflets, organizes cleaning actions, lectures for public, exhibition, cooperates with local Eco-School, etc. Flag hoisting date: June 5 (unless a criterion has not been met).
