Plaza "Otok Tresnjevka", Beach located in Zagreb City

Otok Tresnjevka is an urban beach located in the city of Zagreb, several km from the city center and easily accessible by public transportation and by car. The beach is located in Jarun, a peaceful part of the city which was designed specifically for recreation and sports activites. The beach is 170 m long and covers the area of 2700 m2. Traffic on the beach is prohibited and there is a large parking lot next to the recreational center. The beach foundation substance is washed granulated pebbles, which is being regularly maintained, cleaned and levelled. The pebble part of the beach is separated from the cultivated grassland by concrete kerbstones. The beach has sanitary facilities and showes, catering objects, facilities for the disabled, life-saving and first-aid equipment. The life-guards are present from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.The beach has strict restrictions on fishing, hunting and other forms of destroying the natural sensitive areas.
