Arogi, Beach located in Rodopi

In order to get to the Arogi Beach, you have to
take the Thassaloniki - Komotini National road and
before you reach Komotini, take the Porto-Lagos
exit, from where you’ll find, after a 8- Kilometers
drive, the village of Fanari and then you will find
the Arogi Beach after a 2- Kilometers drive. The
beach is sandy and is part of a summer resort of
the Prefecture. Near the beach there are hotels
and rented accommodation. The length of the
beach is 2,5 Kilometers and its width varies
between 15 and 25 meters. Along the beach
among others there are Pine trees, Acacias and
Oleanders. The Flora of the area includes the
following species: Atriplex Halimus, Anthemis
Tomentosa, Erignium Maritimum, while the Fauna
includes: Petala, Chitton, Falco Elegnorae, Snakes,
Larus Auduinni, Littorina. Also a number of
environmental education activities such as drawing
competitions, clean ups, etc has taken place. You
