Shellinghill/Templetown, Beach located in Border
Shellinghill/Templetown called after the crusading "Knights Templars" fronts one of Louth's most popular but as yet unspoilt stretch of coastline.
Protected on each side by a low level rock promontory, its smooth safe sands extends its friendly playground to curious underwater marine life and to numerous local and day trippers.
Its arc shaped embankments with its prolific natural vegetation offers cover to the secretive, comfort and protection to the lazy, and a playground to children. The sand and shingle southwards facing beach is manned by lifeguards from June to August from 11-6 daily.
