Brittas Bay South Beach, Beach located in Mid-East



Brittas Bay is a long sandy sheltered beach. The area is designated as a proposed Special Area of
Conservation (SAC). It is an area of ecological importance and habitats of interest include sand
dunes, fens and grassland areas. The landscape is dominated by the dunes which cover approx
100 hectares.


The beach is lifeguarded from 11-7 June, July and August.

Brittas Bay can be accessed by travelling north on the N11 from Arklow and taking the right hand turn at Jack White's Cross Roads.
