Loughrea Bathing Place, Beach located in West
An inland bathing area on the shores of Lough Rea lake.
Loughrea is of International importance for
waterfowl and is a designated Natural Heritage
Area. From Galway city take the N6 east for about 30 miles to the town of Loughrea. Follow the signs in the town.
This beach is lifeguarded at weekends only in June and daily from 11-7 July and August.
