Tynemouth King Edwards Bay, Beach located in North East

King Edward's is a small sandy bay enclosed by cliffs and grass banks. The beach is at the foot of Tynemouth Priory, a historialc monastery run by English Heritage. Although small, it is popular with those who want to bathe, surf or simply relax. Nearby is a splendid park, boating lake, Sea Life Centre, toy museum, Volunteer Life Brigade museum and shops. All in all, a great location for a family day out.
