Joss Bay, Beach located in South East
Situated below the North Foreland Lighthouse this is a lovely sandy beach in a rural setting. It is ideal for families and has plenty for children to do and explore. This beach is also particularly popular with surf enthusiasts and has boards and wet suits available to hire from Joss Bay Surf School. The bay was named after Joss Snelling, the notorious smuggler and head of the Callis Court Gang, who was fined £100 for smuggling at the age of 89!
