West Street, Beach located in South East

This south facing shingle beach is located between the Old West Pier Structure and Brighton Pier and is extremely popular with both residents and visitors alike.   The lower promenade has a very cosmopolitan atmosphere with a variety of shops, cafes, galleries and a museum.  Beach sports such as volleyball and basketball are very popular as are water sports. The beach even has its own well used and reputable sailing club.  Throughout the season this is an extremely popular area which attracts a wide range of music, dance, sports and performance events.
