
Bournemouth, Alum Chine, Beach located in South West
Situated at the opening to one of Bournemouth's famous Chines, this beach features a good range of facilities including huts and disabled access. Its modern children's play area and paddling pool make it ideal for families. The nearby Tropical Gardens provide an oasis of tranquility in which to soak up the seafront atmosphere. The beach is gently sloping and sandy, providing safe bathing, with no sudden shelving or rip currents. Visitors can participate in a wide range of traditional seafront activities. Alum Chine is a level walk, or short train journey, to Bournemouth Pier and town centre. A guided walk leaflet is available from Alum Chine beach office.
