Porthmeor, Beach located in South West

Dubbed by some as the jewel of the South West, St Ives is not only an ideal location for a family holiday, but also a centre for the arts, with the Tate St Ives art gallery dominating the backdrop of the beach.  The sandy shoreline of Porthmeor is a haven for diehard surfers and a hot favourite with families looking for a fun day out by the sea.  Water sports are the order of the day at this almost tropical flavoured location, but alternatively you could just lie back on the crisp golden sand and soak up the atmosphere.
