Withernsea

Withernsea, Beach located in Yorkshire

has handicap facilities

The traditional holiday resort of Withernsea sports a recently redesigned and attractively rebuilt promenade.  The famous lighthouse towers some 127 feet above the resort and is the home of the Lighthouse Museum with its tribute to the actress Kay Kendall.   The Pier Towers on the promenade are the last surviving part of the once proud 19th century pier, but the splendid sand and shingle beach provides plenty of enjoyment for all.  This is part of the pleasant seaside resort of Withernsea, made popular after the building of the railway in 1854.  It offers fun and entertainment for the whole family.
