Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association (AHATA) has become affiliate member of FEE and is now officially starting the Blue Flag implementation process in Aruba
After the Blue Flag study trip to Aruba in January 2007, AHATA has decided to officially start the Blue Flag implementation process in Aruba.
AHATA is not an environmental organisation, so it has become affiliate member of FEE. AHATA can hereafter be in charge of the Blue Flag implementation process in the Caribbean. When the implementation process is finalised and the first flags are ready to be raised, the administration of Blue Flag will be handed over to an environmental organisation from Aruba that must become associate member of FEE.
For the International Blue Flag Jury meeting in September 2007, AHATA plans to produce the Blue Flag feasibility study and suggest some beaches for the pilot phase.
