Brightlingsea, Beach located in Tendring District Council
This small, delightful beach in a rural setting has
easy access and ample free parking. The beach
has a relatively safe, tidal-washed paddling pool
which is ideal for children of all ages. Nearby
facilities include an open-air swimming pool,
bathing lake, children's play area, skateboard park
and riverside walk. The area is a sailing centre
and also has foot ferries linking it to other coastal
areas. Access: The nearest town is
Brightlingsea. The town centre is situated half-a-
mile from the beach. There is a regular bus
service from Colchester and vehicular access via
the B1029.
