
Cherry Beach, Beach located in Toronto
Secluded sandy beach in the Toronto Portlands, good for families. Recently re-developed as part of the City's waterfront redevelopment project. While a little off the beaten track, this beach is close to downtown hotels. Lifeguarded daily from 11:30 to 18:30 with first aid equipment on site. Bordered by trees. Picnic tables and barbeque pits available for use. Access to the beach is by public transit or car. Take the Cherry (Clarke) St. bus #172 from the stop at Front and Bay. By car, take Lakeshore Road East to Cherry Street and drive south to the end of the road. Free parking is available near the beach. www.torontobeach.ca
