Southerndown, Beach located in Vale of Glamorgan Council
Southerndown beach is located 20 miles west of Cardiff, and situated within the beautiful Heritage Coast of South Wales. The sandy, pebble beach is estensively used for swimming and surfing. To the east of the bay is Witches Point, designated under SSSI for geological importance. The heritage coast centre is also sited at the beach interpreting local coastal conservation interests.
