The Monte Real Club de Yates was stablished beneath the walls of a 14th-century fortress. The facilities and services offered to visiting boats are among the finest in the world and are available throughout the year. The Rías Bajas of Galicia are a sailor's paradise. Thanks to the mild climate, cruising and racing can take place all winter-long, a very important factor for the Club when competing as host for international racing events. The Club has now made three consecutive challenges for the America's Cup, organised eight World Championships and the Match Race Open de España with Grade I among other important events.
