Burntisland

Burntisland, Beach located in Fife

This pleasant beach is located to the east end of Burntisland overlooking the Firth of Forth. The natural features of a sandy beach with rock pools are enhanced by a modern leisure centre, seaside park, crazy golf, bouncy castles, picnic tables and a summer fairground. An excellent destination for families; full of history and exciting places to visit close by.

The lifesaving equipment is available at all times of year and lifeguards patrol the beach during the day from 3 July - 20 August.   This year the environmental education theme will be energy conservation.  Beach visitors will be informed about how they can recude their energy consumption and how this links to climate change and the impact it could have on Fife's Blue Flag beaches in the future.

Access: Access to Burntisland is via the A921 by car/bus and is a 10 minute walk from the train station.
